2013 Staten Island Ignatian Advent Meditation

Last week The Jesuit Collaborative co-hosted an Ignatian Advent Meditation with St. John Villa Academy at Blessed Sacrament Church on Staten Island. TJC was excited to share the annual event in a new region this Advent Season.
2013 Ignatian Advent Meditation - Washington, DC

Last week The Jesuit Collaborative and Loyola Club of DC hosted an Ignatian Advent Meditation at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC, followed by a festive reception. The annual event is now a tradition for many, who look to kick off the Advent Season with an evening of contemplation, reflection, and good conversation.
The Jesuit Collaborative offered Advent Reflections in two Long Island parishes in December, at St. Bernard's Parish in Nassau County, and Infant Jesus Parish in Suffolk County.

The Jesuit Collaborative was blessed to host an Ignatian Advent Meditation at St. Francis Xavier Church in Manhattan early last week. The annual event is now a tradition for many, who look forward to an evening of contemplation, reflection, and good conversation.
Kevin Moran, an alumnus of the CLA-Philadelphia 2009 Cohort, spent much of early January advocating for the population he works with, homeless men and women. Moran is the Executive Director of New Visions Homeless Day Shelter in Camden, NJ. With temperatures well below freezing at the beginning of the New Year, the well-being of the displaced population of Camden, as well as all over the country, was a major concern.

The Jesuit Collaborative is blessed and honored to announce the awarding of a major grant to fund our new and continued offerings for ministry of the Hispanic Community.
Last week, Fr. James Martin, SJ hosted The Jesuit Collaborative's first-ever Google Hangout on the topic of Prayer. TJC sponsored the discussion in conjunction with America Magazine, for which Fr. Martin serves as editor-at-large.
The Hangout, titled How Do You Pray, consisted of a fruitful and honest discussion on how prayer impacts our daily lives. Participants were asked to share ways they each pray, which gave us a wonderful look at differences and similarities we all share in our conversations with God.
