Last month I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the June Ignatian Leadership for Mission retreat at Loyola on the Potomac in Faulkner, MD. To be quite honest, I had no clue what to expect. Even though I received my degree from a Jesuit institution and now work for the The Jesuit Collaborative, I have never had the chance to dive into Ignatian Spirituality and see what all of the hype is about. I knew that I liked what I knew from my limited experience, but I probably couldn't have told you much about the spirituality as a whole.
