The Jesuit Collaborative will offer regional conferences on Ignatian Discernment in several east coast locations.  Making good decisions effects every area of our lives, and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius offer us a way to prayerfully ponder choices that are before us.  Ignatian discernment helps us to be attentive to God and to note the affective responses to events in our lives.  Here, in the events of the ordinary, we can discern where God is leading us.  Continue Reading »

Program in Directing the Spiritual Exercises

A collaboration with Fairfield University and Inisfada (St. Ignatius) Retreat House, Manhasset, NY, the program is designed to form people not only to direct the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola but to help form others once the participants have completed the program.  The program is intensive, offered over two summers with work in the intervening fall, winter, and spring.  TJC is also collaborating with the Jesuit Center at Wernersville and PNEUMA in Pittsburgh, PA.

Sacred Images: Contemplation and Art

This retreat introduces prayer methods based upon the spirituality of St. Ignatius and simple art exercises. Participants will experience guided meditations followed by art activities and journaling. This is a time to reflect on personal symbolic images that draw one closer to Christ.
No art experience necessary. Materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own art supplies.
The retreat will be led by Bob Gilroy, SJ
